On Earth Day 2023, Ford and Stanley Group, a leading Derby recruitment agency, is committed to supporting the environment and promoting sustainability as part of its Better Workdays Conservation Trust in its mission to protect and preserve our planet’s natural resources.
The Better Workdays Conservation Trust was established in 2018 by Ford and Stanley to support conservation efforts around the world. The trust focuses on projects that promote environmental sustainability, protect biodiversity, and reduce carbon emissions. The trust also supports local communities by creating job opportunities and promoting economic growth.
One of the key projects that the Better Workdays Conservation Trust has supported is the restoration of natural habitats with the creation of a 3 acre conservation site in Derbyshire dedicated to conservation and providing the opportunity for the team to develop their teamwork skills outside of work as well as mental fitness.
Since its creation four years ago, the team has worked tirelessly to transform a disused scrubland with limited ecological benefit, to a thriving environment with diverse creatures, insects, flora and fauna. And since 2021, a total of 18 fruit trees have been planted and 300 acorns propagated.
Ford and Stanley is also committed to reducing its own carbon footprint and promoting sustainability within its own operations. The company has implemented a number of initiatives to reduce waste, promote recycling, and reduce energy consumption. For example, the company has implemented a paperless office policy, encouraging employees to use digital documents instead of paper. The company has also implemented a recycling program, encouraging employees to recycle paper, plastics, and other materials.
This Earth Day, Ford and Stanley is proud to reaffirm its commitment to the environment and sustainability. By supporting the Better Workdays Conservation Trust, the company is making a significant contribution to the protection and preservation of our planet’s natural resources. Together, alongside support from our valued clients including CAF, Loram, Siemans and Unipart Rail we can create a better future for ourselves and for generations to come.
